Thanks to our supporters, we have added new information, excluded some people and added others. The work on the lists continues — and you can take part in it.
As we promised, our work on the lists did not end with their publication. We continue, with your help, to actively edit them, making corrections and updating the composition of the crooks and warmongers included in them.
Today we uploaded updated lists to the website, in which we corrected the discovered technical errors, which are inevitable when processing such a large amount of information. We have also removed some people from the lists after we received convincing evidence that they do not meet the criteria we have chosen. Some of these people, as we found out, left their positions before or immediately after the start of the war. Others publicly opposed the war. For us, a public statement of rejection of the aggression against Ukraine is one of the main grounds for exclusion from the lists. We used softer criteria for only one category: independent directors on the management boards of state-owned companies. We considered their withdrawal from the governing bodies after the start of the war to be sufficient grounds for exclusion.
On the other hand, we have added to the lists those warmongers who originally escaped our attention. These are mostly propagandists and celebrities. In addition, we have clarified information on a significant number of individuals by adding their dates of birth and editing other information. Some of the proposed changes are still being discussed — the results of this work will be presented later.
Since we are trying to act transparently by making our charges public, we are publishing a full list (in Russian) of the changes we have made. All of them are already included in the updated versions of the lists. We will continue this work, collecting data and updating the lists at least every two weeks.
All this work would not be possible without the active help of our supporters. Thousands of people are carefully studying the information, verifying and expanding it. This help is very important, and we are grateful for it. If you have any comments or suggestions for our lists, please email us at [email protected]. That said, if you are proposing to include someone on our sanctions lists, please see if that person falls into one of our designated categories. We also ask that you include links to publications that we can use to check your proposed changes. This includes suggestions for de-listing certain individuals.
Victory will be ours!
