The spotlight is on regional officials

December 15, 2023

This week we started updating our 6,000 list regarding those who can be called second persons in the executive branch of the Russian regions. They are vice–governors, deputy heads of administration, heads of government or their deputies. They are all responsible for implementing state policy, from war propaganda in schools and cutting the social budget to putting the economy on a war-footing. As they sit at the levers of power, they are an important part of the Putin regime and deserve to be sanctioned.

In addition, we have made some clarifications to keep the list of 6,000 people up to date.

If you come across any inaccuracies in our list or believe that someone has been included or omitted by mistake, please reach out to us at [email protected].

You can see all the changes that have taken place in the 6,000 list since the previous update here. We also remind you that searching the list has become more convenient with the "Sanctions Tracker" service.
