The path to sanctions for Putin's authorized representatives

January 26, 2024

We have already added those people to the 6,000 List who have volunteered to agitate for Vladimir Putin in the second year of the war. Each of them is part of the regime that sends Russians to their deaths and kills Ukrainians every day. They are intertwined with the government through numerous connections. These include membership in public chambers, work in organizations created by the state, and support for aggression against Ukraine. They are all connected to the state through the budget financing: They depend on it and are paid for their loyalty. We want to give a complete list of the people who support Putin. And most importantly, it increases the likelihood that they will be added to the sanctions lists.

Therefore, our work shortly will focus on gathering as much information as possible about the authorized representatives, including information about their public stance and their connections with the state. Updating the lists this week is the first part of this work. The updated descriptions have become more personalized, complete, and informative.

In addition, we have made some clarifications to keep the ACF 6,000 list up to date.

If you have information about inaccuracies in our 6,000 list, or if you believe someone is or is not listed there in error, please contact us at [email protected].

Any changes that have been made to the list since the last update can be viewed here. We would also like to remind you that searching the list has become even more convenient with the "Sanctions Tracker" service.
